If you stop paying, your printed codes never go to a dead page or an ad. After the 30-day grace period, your 2 oldest website-link codes stay on Free, live or paused as you left them. The rest show a notice; any continue action follows the code's access restrictions. Exceptions are listed in Terms section 13. If a code stops working as we promise, we pay your documented reprint costs, up to $250 per account (the conditions).

What's an editable code?

One you can point to a new page after you print it, like a menu that changes. Fixed codes are free and unlimited on every plan, with no sign-up: website links that never change, Wi-Fi, contact cards, text, email, text messages, WhatsApp chats, phone calls, locations, social profiles, Google review links and Yelp pages, plus Event invites and Product barcode links.

Recordings, captions, transcripts and poster images use your account's existing file storage.

Both the size and length limits apply to each upload. You can upload a file, add a supported recording link, or use both when those options are available with your plan.

Can a code open a video or audio recording?

Paid Video or audio pages can use the recording sources included with your plan. Each upload must meet its size and length limits. Recordings, captions, transcripts and posters share your existing file storage. Free does not include these pages. Read more.

Which plans include the business tools?

The table above shows which plans include each tool. A tool's operating limit is separate from your plan's editable-code allowance.

Does a form keep my customers’ answers?

Yes. Keep answers for 1 to 365 days; 365 is the default. Read, delete or download them as CSV. Daily summaries are the default; choose emails with answers or no email instead. Visitors cannot see others' answers. Answers are deleted within an hour after their keep time is up. The form names your business.

What is a link-in-bio page?

A page we host with your name, a short line, up to 8 buttons and your social links, so one code or link can send people to several places.

Can I give a discount with a coupon?

A coupon page shows your offer and terms, with an optional code and last day. Your business honors the offer; ovbq does not take payments or apply the discount. After the last day, the page says the offer has ended. Offer pages only. Not for gift cards, stored value or review rewards.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Choose Cancel plan or Manage billing on your account page. Your plan keeps working until the end of the month or year you paid for. We don't refund unused time, except where the law requires it or when we end your plan for a reason that is not your doing. Your codes then follow If you stop paying, below.

What counts as a scan?

A scan is each time someone opens one of your editable codes, with a phone camera or by tapping its short link. We skip known bots. Fixed codes are never counted, because scanning them never touches ovbq. The Free plan counts the first 1,000 scans a month across your codes. After that, counting stops; saved restrictions still apply.

Do my printed codes stop working if I stop paying?

No. For 30 days nothing changes; we send reminders. Then your 2 oldest website-link codes stay on Free, live or paused as you left them. Other codes show a notice; any continue action follows the code's access restrictions. Nothing is deleted. Paying again restores codes within your plan's capacity. Exceptions, including fraud or chargebacks, are in Terms section 13.

Can I switch plans?

Yes, from Manage billing on your account page. Monthly to yearly starts a new year at once, with a credit for unused time. Any change from yearly to monthly, even to another plan, waits until your paid year ends. Other changes take effect at once, with unused time credited. Extra codes keep working for 30 days before they pause.

Do I have to pay for Wi-Fi or contact card codes?

No. Fixed codes are free and unlimited, with no account, for all 14 types: website links, Wi-Fi, contact cards, text, email, text messages, WhatsApp chats, phone calls, locations, social profiles, Google review links and Yelp pages, plus Event invites and Product barcode links. You pay for editable codes you can repoint after printing; Free includes 2 editable codes.

Can I put my menu on a QR code?

Yes, on Pro and Business. Upload a PDF, JPEG or PNG up to 10 MB, or build a menu page with sections, items, prices and hours. You can swap the file or edit the page later, and the printed code stays the same. Free accounts don't include either.

What counts toward file storage?

Each file you host counts at the size we store it, and deleting a file frees its space. Pro holds 200 MB and Business holds 1 GB. At the limit, you can't add or swap files until you delete some. We never delete a file because of the limit. More in Help.

Can I ask for a password before a code opens?

Yes, on Pro and Business. Set a password for the code and share it with the people you want to let through. You can replace or remove it from the code's page. Use a password you do not use for an account.

Can one code open different pages?

On Business, an editable Website link code can choose a page using device information, browser language or time of day in the time zone set for a rule. Browser information can be missing or wrong; it does not verify someone's identity or location.

Code settings and recorded history

Recorded scan details are kept for 24 months. The all-time count can include older scans. Your plan and this code's status determine which statistics you can view or download.

What are labels?

Labels help you organize editable codes in your account. Add a label such as Front counter, then filter your code list by it. Removing a label does not delete a code or change its link. Labels come with every plan. People who scan a code do not see its labels.

Can I save a filtered view?

Search your codes or choose a code type or status, then choose Apply filters. Bookmark the page to use that view again. Opening the bookmark brings back the search and filters. Choose Clear filters to return to the full list.

Can I choose when a code opens?

On Pro and Business, set a start, an end, or both, in the time zone you choose. The start time is included. Before the start and from an exact end time onward, the code shows a notice instead of the destination. If you enter an end date without a time, the whole day is included in your chosen time zone. A coupon's last day is separate from the dates for opening its code. Any pause or password still applies.

If your plan ends, no longer includes dates, or date settings become unavailable, saved dates still apply. You can remove them. Adding or changing dates needs an eligible plan and available date settings.

How long do you keep recorded scans?

We keep recorded scan details for 24 months on every plan. Your code's all-time count can include older scans. Your plan's scan limit affects which scans are recorded, and its features determine which statistics you can view or download. Ending a plan does not by itself shorten the keeping time for recorded scans.

Can I ask for a password before a code opens?

Yes, on Pro and Business. Set a password for the code and share it with the people you want to let through. You can replace or remove it from the code's page. Use a password you do not use for an account.

People who scan the code see a page asking for the password. The password is checked each time you open protected content through this code. If you open protected content again or request a separate file or contact download, you must enter the code's password again. If too many wrong passwords are tried from the same network, the code asks people to wait an hour.

Someone who opens the destination may share its address or a copy, so the destination keeps its own access rules. Changing a password does not take back downloaded copies. Any pause or opening dates still apply.

If your plan ends, no longer includes passwords, or password settings become unavailable, a saved password still applies. You can remove it. Setting or replacing a password needs an eligible plan and available password settings.

How to set a password on a QR code.

Every condition in a rule must match. We check rules from top to bottom and use the first match; otherwise the code's main link opens. You can add up to 12 rules and move them up or down to change which one is checked first. A language such as en also matches en-GB and en-US, and we use the language the browser prefers most. If your plan or the feature switch no longer allows rules, we keep the settings but use the main link instead. Saved password and date restrictions still apply.

How to use one QR code with different links.

Can a QR code add an event to a calendar?

An Event invite puts the details in a fixed code. A supported scanner offers to add the event to a calendar; it does not add it automatically. The fixed maker is free and does not need an account. Details in an invite you have printed cannot be changed. Test the code with the scanner and calendar app your guests use before printing more copies.

Does ovbq take payments?

No. A Payment link opens an external payment page you choose. The payment happens with that provider, not with ovbq. Check the address and recipient before sharing the code. Use the provider's page to check payment status; ovbq does not know whether someone paid. Provider names are shown as text and do not mean the provider endorses ovbq.

Can I reuse a code's appearance?

Save its colors, logo, shape and frame as a look, then preview and apply that look to another code. Choosing a look does not apply it by itself. Looks copy appearance; they do not copy the content, destination or access settings. Renaming or deleting a saved look does not change codes you already made. A new appearance also does not change images you already printed. Download and print a new image if you want the new appearance on paper.

Which image format should I choose?

Use SVG or PNG for print. PNG keeps sharp edges for screens and documents too. Choose JPG if a program needs it; JPG compression can soften the code's edges. A JPG has a solid background. Use the preview and print checker, keep the plain border, and test a printed copy at its final size before making more copies.

What does Round change?

Round adds a circular background around the complete square code and its plain border. It does not cut off the corners. Shape is separate from dot style: the code's square grid stays intact.

Can I add a photo to my contact card?

Yes, you can add an optional photo to a contact card page. On a page without a code password, it appears beside the person's name, and people who can open the page can see and save it. A password-protected contact page shows initials instead, even after the password is entered. Use a photo you have the right and permission to publish. The downloaded contact file does not include the photo in this release. Removing the photo makes the page show initials instead; it cannot remove copies someone already saved.

Can I get scan counts by email?

Yes. Weekly scan email summarizes recorded scans for your editable codes and sends them to your account email. It covers the dates and time zone shown in the email and uses the same counting rules and plan limits as your account. A scan is not a unique person or a payment. It includes no form answers or visitor details. Weekly scan email is off until you turn it on in account settings. You can change the setting independently of form-answer emails. Turning this summary off does not stop sign-in, billing, security or legal emails.

Saved password and date restrictions stay in effect if your plan changes or the feature is switched off. You can remove either restriction; removing one does not remove the other. A paused code's Continue button still checks later restrictions.
