QR codes for events

Before the event, a code on the poster sells tickets. On the day, the same code can open the schedule. Afterward, point it at the photos or the next date.

One code for the whole event

An editable code holds a short ovbq link, and you decide where it goes at each stage. Posters stay up long after an event ends, so the printed code keeps working for you.

  1. BeforeThe poster code opens the ticket or sign-up page.
  2. On the daySwitch it to the schedule, the map of the venue, or the speaker list.
  3. AfterPoint it at the photo album, a feedback page, or next year's date.

To change it, sign in, paste the new link and save. Future scans follow the saved link when the code is allowed to open.

Posters, badges and tables

  • Posters and flyers around town or on community boards. Give each area its own code to learn which spots bring people in.
  • Name badges, with a code that opens the program. Badges are read up close, about 1 ft (30 cm), so 1.2 in (3 cm) is enough.
  • Table tents and the welcome desk, with the schedule or a sign-up for your mailing list. Our printable table tents print two to a sheet and fold in half.
  • Banners and stage signs, read from farther away. At about 16 ft (5 m), a code needs to be at least 19.7 in (50 cm) wide.

See what worked

Each editable code has its own page with scans over the last 30 days and by hour of the day, plus the kind of phone and browser and the website that sent people, if any. After the event you can see whether the posters downtown beat the ones on campus. On Pro and Business, it also shows which countries the scans came from. We never record a city or GPS position, and we do not store IP addresses.

Wi-Fi and contact codes

Put a Wi-Fi code on the tables so guests can join the venue network without spelling out a password. Speakers and organizers can carry a contact card code that saves their name, phone and email straight to a phone. Both come from our free QR code maker with no account. They are fixed codes: the details live inside the code, so they work without ovbq, but they cannot be changed after printing. Make the Wi-Fi code after the venue confirms the password. Make a Wi-Fi sign.

Plans for one event or a season

Free covers 2 editable codes, enough to try it on one event. Pro, at $9 a month, covers 50, for a season of events with a code per poster run. Business, at $29 a month, covers 500. You can pay monthly or yearly and cancel online any time. Pricing has the yearly prices.

If your paid plan ends, nothing changes for 30 days. After that, your 2 oldest website-link codes stay on Free, live or paused as you left them. Other codes show a notice; any continue action follows the code's access restrictions. You can also pause a code yourself between events. Exceptions are listed in Terms section 13. See what happens if you stop paying.

Calendar invites and event pages

A free fixed Event invite puts details in the code. A hosted Event page can change later and has Add to calendar. Events already saved in a calendar do not update automatically. Choose an event code and test the calendar action.

Show a selection of photos from the event on one page with an image gallery QR code. You choose the pictures; guests do not upload to it.
