Make a video QR code

Share a clip from one page: upload a supported video, add a recording link, or offer both. People scan your QR code to open the page and choose playback.

Choose an upload, a recording link, or both

Use an MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio if it has sound, prepared for web playback. ovbq checks the file; it does not convert it. Visitors choose when to start the native player.

Add a supported YouTube or Vimeo link if you also want an outside option.

Outside recordings open on their own service. ovbq does not embed the player or automatically fetch a recording or preview. An ordinary Website link code can also point directly to an outside recording under its usual rules.

The other service handles your visit and playback under its own terms and privacy policy. It may require sign-in or have its own access limits. Access restrictions on this ovbq page do not protect the recording there.

Make the video QR code

Open Video or audio in the code maker. Add your recording, supported link or both, a title and the required Transcript and description. Choose the language used in that text; this does not translate your writing. Check that the text and any captions or poster match the recordings, confirm the review and save.

Check video size and duration

The plans below currently offer video uploads. Both the size and length limits apply to each file. The free plan does not include these pages.

Video upload limits
PlanFile sizeLength
ProUp to 32 MBUp to 2 minutes
BusinessUp to 64 MBUp to 5 minutes

We don't remove details stored inside your video file. Check for private names, artwork or location details before uploading.

Recordings, captions, transcripts and poster images use your account's existing file storage. See pricing and media Help.

Add captions and describe the video

Upload accurate plain-text WebVTT (.vtt) captions for speech and important sounds. The exception is an uploaded video with no speech or important sounds; declare that explicitly. An optional poster is for uploaded video only. Captions, transcripts and posters are not generated for you.

Every page needs a complete descriptive transcript, including a link-only page. Include important sounds and significant visual information. Text does not replace video captions or needed spoken descriptions. Only share recordings and supporting material you have permission to use, including music, images and voices.

Video with sound needs its important visual information explained in the audio. If it is missing, use a version with spoken descriptions. The transcript does not replace this.

For video without sound, describe the important visual information in the transcript.

Test playback before printing

Scan a sample at the intended print size. Check the saved page, transcript, outside host and provider access on devices your visitors will use. Test any saved password or dates too.

Check playback and captions. For a protected recording, Load video asks for the page password again. The full recording must download before playback. With JavaScript, the loaded player stays paused until you press Play. Without it, Download video downloads the file for your own player. A playback error does not automatically open an outside service.

Update the video page

While your plan allows editing, update this saved page without changing the printed link. Keep its transcript current and review the alternatives for any changed recording.

A different video needs new matching captions when captions are required.

A known rejected replacement keeps the saved recording or link. If a save cannot be confirmed, check the saved version before trying again.

Keep your originals. Replacing or removing content here cannot recall downloaded copies or remove an independent outside recording.
